Where to get dive equipment...

Ital Sub

Ital Sub is a great place for SCUBA gear in the Naples, Campania region. The shop owner is friendly and consistently offers the best prices for SCUBA gear in the local area. Ital Sub stocks wetsuits of all sizes, BCD's, kives, cameras, dive flags, tanks, and much more.

Typically in the Italian community the more you shop at a store the better certain prices get. You will find this to be true at Ital Sub. The owner speaks some English and will help you find the gear that is right for you.

Ital Sub's hours are a bit crazy and they respect “Riposare” on the weekdays from 1300 – 1600. Then they are open until 1900. On Saturdays they are only open from 0900 – 1300.

Techno Sub Acqua (AKA "Blue Door")

Blue Door originally got its name from the color of the doors of the shop. You could always tell when the shop was open by quickly looking at the direction of the store from the road and seeing the token bright blue paint that was only on the inside of the doors. The outside of the doors was painted green so this was a good indication when you needed air!

Blue Door is a very small shop that is a very convenient place to fill you SCUBA tanks on the way to dive Nisida. A tank fill will cost you €3 a tank. The shop owner usually works the counter and he is very friendly.

    • Monday - Saturday: 9AM - 8PM
    • Sometimes open on Sunday

Decathlon

Decathlon is a regular sports department store. You can find a little of something for just about every outdoor and indoor sport imaginable here. Decathlon stocks some SCUBA related items like BCD’s, buoys, Surface Marker Buoy’s (SMB), and a light selection of weights. They do have a pretty good selection of wetsuits to choose from.

Things to keep in mind are that you should not expect to receive any type of expert advice on equipment or fitting. This store is just like any other standard supermarket where the cashier doesn’t necessarily use the equipment being sold.

  • Hours:
    • Monday – Sunday: 10AM – 9PM
  • GPS Coordinates: Various. These stores are in many local locations.
